GoWago Carz
These Terms & Conditions govern the rental and use of vehicles provided by GoWago Carz. By booking or renting a vehicle from us, you agree to be bound by the terms stated below.
1. Eligibility to Rent
To rent a vehicle from GoWago Carz, the customer must:
- Be at least 19 years of age
- Have a minimum of 1 year of driving experience
- Hold a valid driving licence
- Provide a valid government-issued ID proof when requested
- International customers must provide a valid passport and driving licence
Failure to meet these requirements may result in cancellation of the booking without any obligation on GoWago Carz.
2. Booking & Confirmation
- All bookings are subject to vehicle availability.
- Booking confirmation will be shared via call, WhatsApp, or message.
- GoWago Carz reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking if customer verification is unsuccessful or incomplete.
3. Rental Period & Rental Cycle
- The standard rental cycle for four-wheelers is from 9:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
- Any pickup within this cycle will be treated as one full rental day.
- Any extension must be requested before the rental end time and is subject to availability and approval.
4. Late Returns & Drop Location
- Vehicles must be returned at the agreed-upon time.
- Late returns may attract additional charges.
- Excessive delays may be treated as an extra rental day.
- If the vehicle is dropped at a location other than the originally agreed drop point, it is allowed only if the customer informs GoWago Carz in advance. Additional charges will apply based on the drop location and the distance from the original drop point.
5. Security Deposit
- A refundable security deposit is required at the time of vehicle handover.
- Deposit amount depends on the vehicle type and is usually ₹3,000 or ₹5,000 per vehicle.
- The deposit will be refunded after vehicle inspection at the end of the rental period.
- Deductions may apply in case of damages, traffic fines, violations, or unpaid charges.
6. Vehicle Usage Rules
The rented vehicle:
- Must be used only for personal travel
- Must not be used for commercial purposes
- Must not be driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Must not be sub-rented or driven by an unauthorised person
- Must not be taken outside Goa without prior written approval
Violation of any of these rules may result in immediate termination of the rental without any refund.
7. Vehicle Condition, Damages & Insurance
- Vehicles are provided in clean and road-worthy condition.
- Video Evidence: Customers must record a video of the vehicle at the time of pickup and show the same video at the time of return. This video will be used as proof of the vehicle's condition, including any existing or new scratches or damages.
- Any damage caused during the rental period shall be borne by the customer.
- Repair costs will be charged as per authorised service centre estimates.
- Any accident, damage, or mechanical issue must be reported immediately.
- Insurance Policy: For minor damages and scratches, insurance will not be claimed and the customer must bear the full repair cost. Insurance will be claimed only in case of major damages exceeding ₹1,00,000. Even in such cases, the customer is responsible for paying any applicable insurance excess, processing fees, or charges required to process the insurance claim.
8. Loss of Rental Income (Major Damages)
In case of major damage requiring extended repairs, the customer shall bear the repair costs and shall also be liable for loss of rental income for the period the vehicle remains unavailable for rental due to repairs.
9. Fuel Policy
- Vehicles are provided with a certain fuel level.
- The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at the time of pickup.
- If the customer returns the vehicle with more fuel than originally provided, GoWago Carz will not be responsible for it and no refund or adjustment will be made for the extra fuel. Customers are advised to plan their journey and refuel accordingly.
10. Traffic Violations & Fines
The customer is fully responsible for all traffic violations, parking fines, and legal penalties incurred during the rental period. GoWago Carz is not responsible for any such violations.
11. Breakdown & Assistance
- In case of breakdown, the customer must inform GoWago Carz immediately.
- Assistance or replacement (if available) will be provided at the company's discretion.
- GoWago Carz is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
12. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation charges may apply depending on the time of cancellation.
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed after applicable deductions.
- No refunds are guaranteed for last-minute cancellations or no-shows.
13. Limitation of Liability
GoWago Carz is not responsible for loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle, accidents caused due to customer negligence, or indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
14. Fair Use & Consumer Rights
These terms are intended to be fair and transparent. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any consumer rights available under applicable Indian law.
15. Privacy & Data Protection
Customer information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is used only for service and legal purposes.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Goa.
17. Dispute Resolution
In case of any dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through discussion. If the dispute cannot be resolved, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Goa.
